The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level designed for intervention encounters a large influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all consumers sassa status check and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
